iOS 8.1 Update for iPhone, iPod, iPad: What has Changed?
Apple has finally released iOS 8.1. The update includes
quite a few new features and bug fixes in light of recent issues with iOS 8.0.1
and iOS 8.0.2. Thanks to YouTuber, Adrian Isen, we now have a video describing
the changelog featured in iOS 8.1. Of course, we see quite a few bug fixes
inside iOS 8.1, but there’s more than just bug fixes to look forward to with
this update.
When updating to iOS 8.0.1 and iOS 8.0.2, many users faced
issues ranging from loss of cellular service to loss of Touch ID usability,
which obviously upset many. This is why iOS 8.1 is out way ahead of schedule.
Sadly, it hasn’t provided relief for some. Many that faced cellular and
wireless issues are still having problems. It seems many of these consumers
have had no luck bringing the issues to Apple.
On the flip side, if you aren’t facing any problems with any
of the iOS 8 updates, iOS 8.1 finally brings Apple Pay, the much talked about
mobile wallet system. Camera Roll is now back, which was missed in iOS 8 – many
were upset about not having it anymore. Continuity between an iPhone, iPad and
Mac is featured, and much more. There’s plenty to look forward to with this
update.
Many are still afraid to update because of previous issues
they’ve had while updating and are tired of feeling frustrated. As soon as we
know more about the software, we’ll let you know. Keep in mind that almost
every software has its share of bugs, so this is not out of the ordinary. What
is out of the ordinary is just how many bugs iOS has and how severe they are.
